The goal of the co-curricular programs at Trenton Christian School is to develop well-rounded students who are enabled to develop their gifts for service in Gods world. Along with the regular course of study at the school (Curriculum), TCS also offers many related and complimentary activities (co-curricular) for students to enjoy. These activities include academic related opportunities (eg. Science Fairs, Spelling Bee, Concert Band, Public Speaking, Choir, Math competitions, and Art contests); as well as intramural and sport teams. While participating in these events students learn to develop their skills, to work as a team, and to demonstrate sportsmanship and fair play in competitions and events. The eagerness and enthusiasm of the students in regards to our co-curricular programs is very evident and appreciated.
The opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities is limited, however, by some important considerations:
- Participants must be enrolled as students at TCS.
- Participants continue to display positive behaviour and conduct in school, on the busses and in the community. This behaviour is monitored by the homeroom teacher and principal according to the Student Code of Conduct and a students status in relation to the Discipline Policy.
- Participants must also maintain good academic standing in class, with a special emphasis on completing assignments on time and in accordance with teacher expectations. The homeroom teacher, in conjunction with teachers who instruct on a rotational basis, determines good academic standing.
